Questions we get a lot.
Shipping, the Board, the wooden puzzles, and what happens if a piece goes missing.
Flipsi, in short.
What is a Flipsi puzzle?
A 500 piece double sided jigsaw. One artwork is on the front, the picture you see on the box. A second, related artwork is printed on the back, and it stays hidden until you have built the puzzle and turned it over.
Why 500 pieces?
Our puzzles are made to be flipped, so the size had to make that comfortable. We tried a lot of them. 500 is big enough to be a satisfying build, and small enough to turn over in one move.
Will I be able to tell which side is which?
Yes. The front pieces feel slightly textured and the secret side is smooth, so you can sort them by touch alone.
Do you ever show the secret side?
No. Not in photographs, not on the product pages, not in ads. The reveal belongs to your table. If you want the whole idea in one place, How It Works walks through it without spoiling anything.
Flipping, made easy.
What is a Flipsi Puzzling Board?
A premium cardboard board with a red velvet puzzling surface. You build on it, close it over, and turn the whole finished puzzle at once. It also keeps a half built puzzle safe between sessions.
Do I need one?
No. You can flip a Flipsi with two gentle corners, or between two pieces of card. The Board just makes it effortless, and it works for every puzzle you buy after this one. You can find it here, or bundled with three puzzles as Flipsi Plus.
The wooden puzzles.
What is a Pirouette puzzle?
A 200 piece wooden puzzle that does not stay flat. Ten of the pieces stand up around the rim, the finished puzzle sets onto a concealed music box, and when you wind it and turn the lights down the standing pieces throw shadows across the wall. You can see them here.
Does the music box need batteries?
No. It is a wound music box concealed in the base. You wind it by hand and the base turns while it plays.
Do I need anything besides the box?
A table for an evening, and later a dark room with a phone light. Everything else, including the stand for your phone, is in the box.
How is Pirouette different from a Flipsi puzzle?
A Flipsi is 500 pieces of cardboard with a second artwork hidden on the back. Pirouette is wooden, 200 pieces, and its surprise is a different one: it stands up, winds up, and plays its city to sleep.

If something goes wrong.
A piece is missing or broken. What now?
Tell us and we will replace it. There is a form on the Missing Piece Replacement page, and it is the fastest way to reach the right person.
Can I return a puzzle?
Our refund policy has the full terms. If something has arrived damaged, write to us first and we will sort it out.
What is a pre-order?
Our puzzles are made in runs, and runs sell out. A pre-order holds one for you from the next print instead of waiting for it to come back. The pre-orders page lists what is currently open.
Ask us anything.
If it is not here, write to us at admin@flipsipuzzles.com and someone will come back to you. Include your order number if you have one.
