The world

Three places. Every light stays on.

A carousel still turns though the carnival closed years ago. A lighthouse keeps its beam sweeping the water for a ship that already made it home, or didn't. And somewhere up the drive, every window in the mansion is lit, though no one answers the door.

More places. More frights. More to fear.
