When the shadows lengthen and the wood begins to cool, the swing will sway and music will follow. What sings is not just the leaves or the flowers or the grass in the breeze. It is the rhythm from the ledge, when the distance ripples and the last of the light starts to roam.

Swallow Cafe
A child with a kite appears again and again. So does a swallow, a tiny door, a trail of string, and a staircase disappearing into clouds. The café serves what is warm. The studio keeps what is imagined. Across the walls, the coffee cups, and the painted awnings, a story takes flight. But what does the balcony see when the drawings begin?
